Moments in the northern part of Romania

Last year I participated in the International Conference of Mythology and Folklore in Bucharest. The specialists there were amazed of the revival of traditions in Bucovina, the Northern Part of Romania, ancient province of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. That’s not a singular phenomenon in Romania, some say. Because Bucovina is my native land, I think that there are the most interesting traditions in the world.

The photographer Traian Bodnărescu took photos of the people and little secret places from Marginea and Suceviţa and I have discussed with people, in order to understand the phenomenon. Further researches are needed in this direction.
